  • Educational Leadership Profile (ELP)

The demands on a school administrator are many. In addition to managing the school, today's administrators are expected to be visionary, community, and instructional leaders. They are required to lead the staff forward in the best interest of the students while also taking on roles such as fundraiser, data collector, mentor, and most importantly, educator.
Realizing the relationship between school leadership and student achievement, the ELP is designed to gather information to help school leaders strengthen their abilities to improve learning for all students.

The instrument measures nine areas of educational leadership performance identified by the research on what makes an effective school administrator. Each performance area includes four elements with a rating guide. Select one of the links below to learn more about the process.
