Close Up Program - The purpose of the Close Up program is to ignite an interest in the democratic process and to instill young people with the desire to become active participants in government. Close Up North Dakota concentrates on the functions and structure of state government and defines the constitutional responsibilities assigned to each of the three branches of government. Legislative Advocacy - An important function of the NDCEL is to serve as a legislative representative for the school administrators of North Dakota. Legislative positions are developed and the executive director is very involved in lobbying efforts during the Legislative Session and during the Interim. [More Information]
