Aspiring School Leaders - The Aspiring School Leaders Conference is a one-day event intended to generate excitement as well as present a realistic portrayal of the joys and trials of school leadership.

Brain Research & Effective Instruction - This program is designed to help teachers and administrators deepen their understanding of how the human brain processes sensory input and the implications of this new knowledge on the teaching and learning process.

Breaking Ranks II - (One two-day session) This program aims to improve the learning experience of every high school student by providing high school principals and high school leadership teams with strategies for implementing successful school improvement initiatives.

Breaking Ranks in the Middle - Breaking Ranks in the Middle: Strategies for Leading Middle School Reform aims to improve the learning experience of every middle school student by providing middle school principals and middle school leadership teams with strategies for implementing successful school improvement initiatives.

Communication Styles - People develop habits of communicating and interacting with others by repeating behaviors that make them feel comfortable or meet their needs. Understanding these habits and behavior patterns, understanding why people affect each other the way they do, and learning how to use this information for more effective communication and more productive teams are the themes emphasized in the Communication Styles program.

Data Standards & Learning - (Four-day session) This course is designed to provide classroom educators and school leaders with training in data-based school decision-making that will lead to increased achievement for all students.

Data Standards & Learning: Data Conversion - This course is designed to provide classroom educators and school leaders with training in Excel to assist with data conversion into useful information.

Effective Communications Skills for Leaders-II/Crucial Confrontations - This course teaches a straightforward step-by-step process for identifying and resolving performance gaps, strengthening accountability, eliminating inconsistency and reducing resentment.

Emergency Response Planning for Schools - This program provides emergency planning guidance to the people responsible for developing or maintaining an effective school safety program.

Google Tools for Administrators - This program introduces and develops skills for administrators to Google applications that can enhance their skills as leaders, increase their productivity, give them tools for communication and collaboration, as well as impact student learning.

Instructional Leadership Academy - (45 hours over three sessions) The most important job of a school leader is providing leadership that results in improved student learning. Effective instructional leaders possess knowledge and skills in three major areas: curriculum, instruction, and assessments. The Instructional Leadership Academy focuses primarily on the knowledge and skill base required to improve instruction in a school.

Instructional Leadership Academy Phase IV - (One-Day Session) This training is for School Administrators who have completed Phases I, II, and III of Instructional Leadership; and who have had at least one year of implementing the model in their schools.  Phase IV is designed to produce an increase in collegial sharing and interaction.  It will also allow school administrators to reflect on their progress and performance.

iPad - (One-Day Session) Be among the first to discover how the iPad2 impacts the busy life of an administrator, whether it’s walkthrough observations, research, reading the latest educational books, or the day’s news and discover how the iPad2 impacts the classroom, whether it’s through anytime anywhere content development, or connecting to Powerschool to enter grades, or merging 60 pounds of textbooks onto a1.5 pound device.

iPad Productivity Tools - The purpose of this workshop is to help participants exercise greater control over their time both professional and personally by integrating the use of mobile technology into their everyday lives.  Participants will learn how to effectively use mobile electronic devices to complete email, manage calendars and contacts, and create task lists. They will learn how to connect and share resources on their desktop and laptop computers with their electronic mobile devices seamlessly, reducing the need for paper planners and thumbdrives.  In addition, participants will learn how to connect to student management programs like Powerschool to enter grades or view student data.  Finally, participants will be introduced to electronic book readers, web management devices, electron recording and dictating applications, and additional applications with educational implications.
 
iPad Teacher Observation Tools - The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with skills to utilize the latest technology in providing effective feedback to teachers in the supervisory process.  Participants will review formative versus summative data, three of the most effective methods of observing teachers, iPad generated self created templates, and a data collection software eCove.

LEAD State Assessment Results STARS Workshop - (One-Day Session) At the end of the day, participants will understand the different sources of data that are available from the state of ND: STARS Assessment Results, Profile, or Individual Combined state status.

LEADership Academy - (One two-day session) This program aims to help school leaders increase their knowledge and skills to lead improvement efforts in their school or school district. Included are a rich variety of organizational and personal growth topics designed to support school leaders in their efforts to increase student achievement and academic results.

Leading Change (One two-day session) This two-day program is designed to help school leaders increase their knowledge and skills in leading effective change in their schools and districts.  Leaders seek changes in students’ performance, but often fail to achieve the desired results.  In order to change student results, there must be a change in teaching practices, and skilled leaders must set up systems to implement the changes. 

Leading Professional Learning Communities - (One two-day session) This two-day program is designed to help school leaders increase their knowledge and skills in developing professional learning communities. Participants will learn what professional learning communities are, why they are effective, and how to implement them.

Leading for Results Academy - (Five days, two two-day sessions with one-day follow-up) This program aims to help participants increase their knowledge and skills in order to provide the necessary leadership to increase the achievement of all students. Particular emphasis is placed on closing the achievement gap between higher and lower performing students such as those with disabilities or those who are at risk.

Legal Situations in Education-I - (One two-day session) This two-day program is designed to help school leaders increase their knowledge and skills in responding to situations in a school setting that may have legal implications. Participants will learn to analyze and interpret complex issues; become more confident in decision-making; use sensitivity and judgment in responding to situations; and sharpen their oral and written communication skills.

Legal Situations in Education II - (One two-day session) This course is designed to help school leaders increase their knowledge and skills in preparing for the non-renewal and dismissal process regarding teacher contracts. Participants will learn the legal requirements to sustain a charge for non-renewal and dismissal; develop competency in preparing documentation to support a charge for non-renewal and dismissal; and develop confidence in making decisions about whether or not to proceed with the process of non-renewal or dismissal.

Love and Logic - Love and Logic is a common sense approach to classroom management and schoolwide discipline planning that focuses on handing back to children the problems they cause and replacing the typical educator responses of anger, lectures, threats, or repeated warnings with empathy followed by logical consequences.

Peer Mentoring & Coaching - In addition to instructional leadership provided by a building principal, the level of instructional effectiveness in a building may be raised through peer mentoring and coaching. This program is designed to provide classroom teachers with high-level training to improve their abilities as peer mentors and instructional leaders.

Principle-Centered Leadership - Principle-Centered Leadership is an integrated approach to personal, interpersonal, managerial, and organizational effectiveness. This program helps participants apply The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People at the organizational level.

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People - Based on the national bestseller, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen R. Covey, this program aims to develop principle-centered leaders who understand and are able to apply Seven Habits principles and processes at both the personal and professional levels.

Strategic Planning -Effective Strategic Planning involves anticipating the future and then making plans to achieve desirable outcomes while avoiding undesirable outcomes in the future.  One of the biggest problems with strategic planning is the failure to thoroughly explore the implications before taking action, which very often results in unintended consequences.  The aims of LEAD’s strategic planning services are to help schools/districts reduce some of the risk of anticipating the future and to avoid unintended consequences.

Team Dimensions - The purpose of this program is to help educational leaders to better understand the various strengths and approaches individuals bring to a team and how these factors influence individual's attitudes and receptiveness to change. Participants learn about the change cycle and typical patterns of behavior people exhibit while they experience change.

Time Management for Increased Productivity - School leaders continually are challenged to make the most effective and efficient use of their time while balancing the demands of their professional and personal lives. This program is designed to help participants exercise greater control over their time and their lives by understanding and applying universal time management principles and strategies.
